Red Light Therapy Wrap 660nm 850nm Benefits for Joints and Muscles
The Science of Depth
Two Wavelengths. Three Targeted Modes.
How to use the Advantage Wrap
Wrap it
Place the Advantage Wrap directly over the area you want to support — knees, lower back, shoulders, hips, wrists, or any joint or muscle group. The flexible neoprene pad contours to your body shape and sits flat against the skin for direct contact.
Strap it
Use one of the two included velcro straps to hold the wrap firmly in place. You will receive a large and a small strap so you can secure the wrap around any body part, from a narrow wrist to a wider lower back. Once strapped, the wrap stays put so you can move freely.
Tap it
Tap the button to activate your session. Choose red mode, near infrared mode, or combined mode. The 10 minute auto timer handles the rest while you get on with your day — work at your desk, stretch, walk, or simply relax. Use once or twice daily for 5 to 20 minutes per area.
Consistency is key. Every order includes a detailed user guide to help you master your routine.

Tested and verified in house
All irradiance and EMF readings for the Advantage Wrap were measured using a Hopoo OHSP-350F Portable Spectral Irradiance Colorimeter and a Trifield TF2 EMF meter, the same instruments widely used by independent red light therapy reviewers and considered among the most accurate handheld measurement tools available outside of a laboratory setting.
We publish these figures transparently so you can compare our devices against any other brand on a like for like basis. Where independent laboratory testing is available (see our Target Light 670 and Target Light 2.0), we publish those results alongside our in house data.
The Advantage Wrap was tested at direct contact (0cm) as this is a wearable device designed to sit flat against the skin during every session.

Backed by research
The wavelengths used in the Advantage Wrap — 660nm and 850nm — are two of the most frequently studied in red light therapy and photobiomodulation research. Studies suggest that 660nm red light may support surface level tissue wellness and circulation, while 850nm near infrared light penetrates deeper where it may support joint comfort, muscle wellness, and cellular energy production. Peer reviewed research continues to explore the role of these wavelengths in supporting physical comfort and movement.

Frequently asked questions
The Advantage Wrap has three modes that you cycle through by pressing the button. Each mode is indicated by a different colour on the button light.
First press — green light (combined mode, 660nm + 850nm) activates all 480 LEDs simultaneously. This delivers both red and near infrared light for maximum coverage in a single session. This is the mode most people use most often.
Second press — red light (red mode, 660nm only) activates the 160 visible red LEDs. This mode is best suited for surface level wellness — skin comfort and circulation in the area being treated.
Third press — blue light (near infrared mode, 850nm only) activates the 320 invisible near infrared LEDs. This mode is designed for deeper tissue support — joints, muscles, and cellular wellness below the surface.
Press the button again to cycle back through the modes, or hold it down to switch off.
The Advantage Wrap is designed to be used on any joint or muscle group on the body. The flexible neoprene pad (49cm × 22cm) contours to different body shapes and the two included velcro straps (one large, one small) allow you to secure it around a wide range of areas.
Common areas include knees, lower back, shoulders, hips, wrists, neck, thighs, and calves. Many customers also wrap it around the upper back or torso for broader coverage.
The pad sits flat against the skin for direct contact, so it works best on areas where the surface is relatively smooth and the strap can hold the pad firmly in place.
Each session can last 5 to 20 minutes per area, depending on your needs. The built in 10 minute auto timer will switch the device off automatically, so you can simply restart it if you want a longer session.
You can use the Advantage Wrap once or twice daily. Many people use it in the morning before activity and again in the evening to wind down.
The 6000mAh battery lasts approximately 150 minutes per full charge, which means you can complete multiple sessions across different body areas before needing to recharge.
Wearable devices like the Advantage Wrap experience more physical contact and wear than handheld spotlights. The wrap is strapped directly against the body, flexed around joints, and used during movement, which means it undergoes more physical stress than a device that is simply held in the hand or placed on a stand.
For this reason, the Advantage Wrap comes with a 30 day money back trial rather than the 365 day trial offered on our handheld Target Light devices. Thirty days is more than enough time to experience the benefits and decide whether the wrap is right for you.
If you would prefer a longer trial period, our Target Light 670, Target Light 2.0, and Target Light 3.0 all come with a 365 day money back trial.
This is completely normal and your device is working correctly.
The Advantage Wrap contains 160 triple chip LED housings. Each housing has one red LED (660nm) and two near infrared LEDs (850nm), giving 480 LEDs in total. The red LEDs produce a bright, visible glow. The 320 near infrared LEDs, however, emit light that is almost entirely invisible to the human eye.
In combined mode, you will see the red LEDs glowing brightly while the near infrared LEDs appear very faint or completely dark. This is not a fault — it is a sign that your device is producing genuine near infrared light at the correct wavelength.
To confirm all LEDs are working, switch to near infrared only mode (blue button light) in a dark room and view the pad through your phone camera. Most phone cameras can detect near infrared light and will show a faint purple or white glow from the LEDs that appear dark to the naked eye.
No. The Advantage Wrap is designed for body use only — joints, muscles, and targeted body areas. It is not designed for use on the face or near the eyes.
If you are looking for a red light therapy device for face, eyes, skin care, or sleep support, we recommend one of our handheld Target Light devices. The Target Light 670 is designed specifically for face and eye comfort, while the Target Light 2.0 offers both facial and deep tissue support with dual wavelengths.
The Advantage Wrap is not waterproof. Do not submerge it in water, machine wash it, or use it in the shower or bath.
To clean the wrap, simply wipe the neoprene surface with a soft, damp cloth after use. Allow it to air dry fully before storing. Avoid using harsh chemicals, detergents, or abrasive materials on the pad or LED surface.
Store the wrap flat or loosely rolled when not in use. Avoid folding it sharply as this may damage the LED housings over time.
At the treatment surface where the wrap sits against your skin, the EMF reading is zero — 0 mG magnetic field and 0 V/m electric field, measured with a TriField TF2 EMF meter.
The wrap runs on a rechargeable battery, which means no mains frequency EMF during use. There is a small magnetic field reading of 4.8 mG near the battery and controller unit. However, when the wrap is worn around a joint or limb, the battery section ends up rolled on top of the outer side of the wrap — so even though the LEDs are in direct contact with your skin, which is exactly how this device is designed to be used, the battery pack itself never actually touches your skin.
For a device that wraps directly against the body, this matters. Your actual EMF exposure during a session is effectively zero.
It's worth bearing in mind that every electronic device you use in daily life produces some level of EMF — your phone, your TV, your kettle, your fridge, your Bluetooth headphones, your fitness tracker. EMF is a normal part of modern life and virtually impossible to avoid entirely. The additional EMF exposure from a red light therapy session is small in the context of everything else you're already exposed to, and we believe the wellness benefits of consistent use far outweigh any concern about the modest EMF levels involved.
