Professional Red Light Therapy Spotlight 660nm 850nm for Clinics
The Science of Depth
Two Wavelengths. Professional Grade Power.
How to use the Target Light 4.0
Position the spotlight
Adjust the built in stand to your desired height (88cm to 145cm) and extend the arm up to 45cm to the side. Angle the spotlight head towards the treatment area — it rotates 360° so you can direct the light precisely where it's needed. For treatment tables, position overhead. For chairs or recovery areas, angle from the side.
Set the intensity
Use the touchscreen or remote control to adjust the red and near infrared wavelengths independently from 0% to 100%. Start at a comfortable level and increase gradually. The rule of thumb is simple — it should feel warm but never hot. If it feels too warm, reduce the intensity or increase the distance from the skin.
Sit back and let it work
Set your session time via the touchscreen or remote. Sessions typically last 5 to 10 minutes per area. The hands free design means you or your client can simply relax — no holding, no adjusting. The auto timer switches the device off when the session is complete.
Combine with other treatments
Red light therapy pairs naturally with many professional treatments. Position the TL4.0 over a client during a massage, physiotherapy session, chiropractic adjustment, facial, or IV drip. The spotlight works hands free in the background while you focus on your primary treatment — adding value to every session without extra effort.
Every order includes a digital user guide and free Zoom training for clinic staff.

Tested and verified in house
All irradiance and EMF readings for the Target Light 4.0 were measured using a Hopoo OHSP-350F Portable Spectral Irradiance Colorimeter and a Trifield TF2 EMF meter, the same instruments widely used by independent red light therapy reviewers and considered among the most accurate handheld measurement tools available outside of a laboratory setting.
We publish these figures transparently so you can compare our devices against any other brand on a like for like basis. Where independent laboratory testing is available (see our Target Light 670 and Target Light 2.0), we publish those results alongside our in house data.
The Target Light 4.0 delivers the highest irradiance of any spotlight in our range at 382.5 mW/cm² at 15cm, and was tested at multiple distances to give practitioners and advanced home users a complete picture of performance across their preferred treatment range.

Backed by research
The wavelengths used in the Target Light 4.0 — 660nm and 850nm — are two of the most frequently studied in red light therapy and photobiomodulation research. Studies suggest that 660nm red light may support skin wellness, collagen processes, and eye comfort at the surface level, while 850nm near infrared light penetrates deeper where it may support joint comfort, muscle wellness, and cellular energy production. The professional grade irradiance of the Target Light 4.0 allows practitioners and advanced home users to deliver these wavelengths at the intensities most commonly referenced in published research.

Frequently asked questions
The Target Light 4.0 is a professional grade floor standing spotlight designed for clinics and advanced home users. It delivers 382.5 mW/cm² at 15cm — significantly more powerful than any of our handheld devices.
The Target Light 670 (£119) offers 670nm red light only for face, eyes, and skin. Mains powered, lightweight, and our most affordable device.
The Target Light 2.0 (£239) adds 850nm near infrared with three switchable modes. Mains powered with a combined irradiance of 137 mW/cm² at 10cm.
The Target Light 3.0 (£289) features three wavelengths, rechargeable battery, and touchscreen. Maximum portability.
The Target Light 4.0 (£840) is the only device in the range with a built in adjustable floor stand, remote control, and independent wavelength dimming from 0% to 100%. It is designed for hands free professional use rather than handheld personal use.
The Target Light 4.0 has a built in touchscreen on the device and a wireless remote control, so you can adjust settings from the device itself or from across the room without disturbing a client.
The red (660nm) and near infrared (850nm) wavelengths can be dimmed independently from 0% to 100%. This means you can run red only, near infrared only, or any combination of both at whatever intensity suits the treatment.
For example, you might run the red at 60% for a gentle facial treatment while keeping near infrared at 100% for deep tissue support on the same area. Or dim both wavelengths down for a client who prefers a gentler session.
Session time can also be set via the touchscreen or remote, and the auto timer will switch the device off when the session is complete.
The recommended distance depends on the treatment goal and the intensity setting.
At full power, the Target Light 4.0 delivers 382.5 mW/cm² at 15cm. This is significantly higher than most red light therapy devices, so many sessions will not need 100% intensity.
The rule of thumb is simple — it should feel warm on the treatment area but never hot. If it feels too warm, you have two options: reduce the intensity using the dimmer, or increase the distance between the spotlight and the skin.
For facial and eye treatments, we recommend starting at a lower intensity (30% to 50%) and a distance of 30cm or more, then adjusting based on comfort.
For joints, muscles, and deep tissue, a closer distance of 15cm to 30cm at higher intensity is typical.
Sessions usually last 5 to 10 minutes per area. The auto timer handles the rest.
Yes, and this is one of the main reasons practitioners choose the Target Light 4.0.
The hands free adjustable stand allows you to position the spotlight over a treatment table, massage bed, or recovery chair while you continue with your primary treatment. There is no need for extra staff time or for the client to hold anything.
Common pairings include massage therapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic care, facial treatments, IV drip sessions, and post procedure care. The red light works quietly in the background while you focus on your client.
This allows you to add red light therapy to your existing service menu without disrupting your workflow, and many practitioners find it increases the perceived value of their sessions.
This is completely normal and your device is working correctly.
The Target Light 4.0 contains 60 LEDs — 27 red (660nm) and 33 near infrared (850nm). The red LEDs produce a bright, visible glow. The 33 near infrared LEDs, however, emit light that is almost entirely invisible to the human eye. They may appear very faintly lit or completely dark.
This is not a fault — it is a sign that your device is producing genuine near infrared light at the correct wavelength. If the near infrared LEDs appeared bright red, it would suggest they are not emitting true 850nm light.
To confirm all LEDs are working, dim the red wavelength to 0% using the touchscreen and set the near infrared to 100%. In a dark room, view the spotlight through your phone camera. Most phone cameras can detect near infrared light and will show a faint purple or white glow from the LEDs that appear dark to the naked eye.
Yes, the Target Light 4.0 can be used for facial and eye wellness sessions, but we recommend reducing the intensity and increasing the distance compared to deep tissue treatments.
For facial treatments, start with the red wavelength at 30% to 50% intensity and position the spotlight 30cm or more from the face. The 660nm red light is one of the most widely studied wavelengths in eye related wellness research.
For near infrared light near the face, we recommend keeping the intensity lower and the distance greater (45cm or more), as 850nm light is invisible and it is difficult to gauge the energy reaching the eyes by feel alone.
The device is flicker free, which is particularly important for use near the face and eyes. Optional eye protection is included with every order for clients who prefer additional comfort.
If your client has specific eye concerns or pre existing conditions, we recommend they consult a healthcare professional before starting.
At 15cm treatment distance, the Target Light 4.0 measures 0.5 mG magnetic field and 21 V/m electric field using a TriField TF2 EMF meter.
The magnetic field reading of 0.5 mG is well under the Building Biology "no concern" threshold of 1 mG. The electric field at 21 V/m is above the 10 V/m threshold but within normal range for a mains powered device at this power output.
All EMF measurements are taken with the meter resting on a non-conductive surface at panel centre height, with the device fully warmed up before reading.
It's worth bearing in mind that every electronic device you use in daily life produces some level of EMF — your phone, your TV, your kettle, your fridge, your Bluetooth headphones, your fitness tracker. EMF is a normal part of modern life and virtually impossible to avoid entirely. The additional EMF exposure from a red light therapy session is small in the context of everything else you're already exposed to, and we believe the wellness benefits of consistent use far outweigh any concern about the modest EMF levels involved.
The Target Light 4.0 comes with a 2 year warranty covering manufacturing faults and free Zoom training for your clinic staff. Every order includes a digital user guide and our team is available for free consultation calls.
