Great little bit of kit! I love how easy it is to use. It's portable, so I can take it away with me when I travel. It's rechargeable so no need for messy cables. I purchased the hand held device and have been using it on my knee for about a month now. I have an old ACL injury and have a constant bubble of swelling just above my knee... this area appears to be becoming smaller and I don't notice it as much now when I'm walking.
I did a fair amount of research and spoke to people using these products before I made my choice and purchased my hand held device. The light is perfect for me and I’m well pleased I committed to this one. I use it first thing in the morning and then in the afternoon I use it on the stand set up on my desk. I do recommend the light.

The unit itself (Target Light 3.0) is lightweight therefore easy to use with a handy timer and stand, and has a very good (simple) instruction manual- and it’s really simple to use. I can’t attest to the long term benefits (for joint problems)as it has just arrived and I have only used it once, but it can be used for skin issues - a bonus and will try it for some mild excema as it might eliminate the need for creams.

I did a lot of research before I decided to buy the hand held Red Light Therapy device. Purchased the Target Light 3.0 Handheld Portable Red Light Therapy as I have a combination of needs. One need is my eyesight as I have glaucoma and central retinal vein occlusion. I use the target light for ,3 minutes each morning and my sight has improved colours are now so much more vivid. The other is to do with my right knee which is stiff and swells due to injury and two operations. I am amazed at the improvement in flexibility after a couple of sessions.

Can I use the Target Light 3.0 while clothed?

For the best results, bare skin is ideal.
The 660nm red light works at the surface level and does not penetrate clothing effectively. The 810nm and 850nm near infrared wavelengths penetrate deeper and may pass through thin fabrics, but direct skin contact still gives the most benefit.
Make sure the area you are treating is uncovered and your skin is clean and free from creams or oils.
That said, if you are using the Target Light 3.0 as ambient light alongside your screen for blue light balancing, clothing makes no difference — the light still provides a beneficial environment.

What are the EMF levels on the Target Light 3.0?

Zero. The Target Light 3.0 runs on a rechargeable lithium ion battery with no mains connection during use. We tested it with a TriField TF2 EMF meter and measured 0 mG magnetic field and 0 V/m electric field across all modes. There is no detectable EMF output from this device.
This is one of the advantages of battery operated red light therapy devices. No mains connection means no mains frequency electromagnetic fields. If EMF is a concern for you, the Target Light 3.0 is as clean as it gets.
